At the Orwell Volunteer Fire Department, we operate a well-equipped fleet to respond to various emergencies efficiently. Each piece of apparatus is maintained to the highest standards to ensure reliability and effectiveness when called into action.

 

Engine 1

Make/Model: 2020 Kenworth T370 / HME Ahrens-Fox
Specifications:

  • 1500 GPM Pump
  • 1200-Gallon Water Tank
  • 30-Gallon Foam Tank

Engine 1 serves as our primary response vehicle for structural fires and mutual aid requests, equipped with advanced firefighting technology.

Pumper-Tanker

Make/Model: 1994 International 4900 (Built by OVFD)
Specifications:

  • 2200-Gallon Water Tank
  • Versatile pump and water transport capabilities

The Pumper-Tanker is a critical asset in areas with limited water access, offering both suppression and tanker support.

Brush Truck

Make/Model: GMC Sierra 3500 4×4
Specifications:

  • Skid unit with water tank and pump
  • Wildland firefighting tools and equipment

Designed for brush and grass fires, this vehicle allows access to remote and rugged terrain where larger apparatus cannot operate.

Utility 1

Make/Model: 1996 Freightliner FL 70 Walk-In
Specifications:

  • Personnel and equipment transport
  • Scene support for extended operations

Utility 1 is used for logistics, traffic control, and transporting personnel and equipment to and from incident scenes.

Tanker 1

Make/Model: 1993 International 9400 (Locally Built)

  • 3500-Gallon Water Tank
  • Rapid water deployment system

This tanker provides essential water supply in rural areas, ensuring a steady flow during fire suppression efforts.

Tanker 2

Tanker 2 enhances our water supply capabilities, ensuring effective response to large-scale incidents and rural fire operations.
